Bandipora, Nov 30 (KNS): BSF raising day was celebrated on Tuesday at Bandipora BSF campus to remember the sacrifices of the army during 1971 war Victory.

On the occasion  Devender Singh Bisht, DIG BSF SHQ Bandipora Deepak Kandpal, Comdt (Adm) SHQ BSF Bandipora,  Kaushlesh Rai, Comdt,14 Battalion BSF along with 11 Officers, 53 SO’s and  117 OR's of SHQ BSF Bandipora, 14 Battalion BSF, 115 Battalion, 1077 Arty celebrated 57th BSF Raising Day.

DIG SHQ Bandipora addressed the occasion remembering the supreme sacrifices made by BSF in the past 57 years and applauded the role played by BSF in the 1971 war.

During the celebrations display of colorful culture programme / Bara Khana was organised .

Meanwhile, the event was also organised to remember and commemorate Swarnim Vijay Varsh '1971 war Victory'and Amrit Mahotsav in which 04 NOK's of brave BSF Martyrs who made supreme sacrifices for the country.

The event was attended by 18 BSF retired personnel who had fought the war in 1971. (KNS)
