Bandipora, July 06 (KNS): A 55-year-old man was critically injured after being attacked by the bear in North Kashmir's Bandipora district on Tuesday morning. 

An official identified the man as Mohd Yousif Dar son of Habibulla Dar of Kemah Bandipora.

The official said that Mohd Yousuf was outside his home during wee hours today when a bear attacked him. 

The official said that the man was critically injured in the attack and has been shifted to a bandipora hospital where from doctors referred him to srinagar for advance treatment.

Meanwhile, locals have appealed wild life department to capture the bear in the area as whole area has been gripped under fear.(KNS)
