Srinagar, Nov 15 (KNS): Five persons have been died while several other sustained injuries in a tragic bus accident in Doda district.
An official said that a bus, carrying passengers, rolled down into a deep gorge at Assar area in Doda, leaving five dead and injuries to many others.
"Just now spoke to DC Doda, J&K, Sh Harvinder Singh after receiving information about the bus accident in Assar region. Unfortunately 5 are dead. Injured being shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar and GMC Doda as per requirement Helicopter service to be arranged for shifting the more injured ones. All possible help, as required being provided. I am in constant touch," Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh said in a post on X.
Meanwhile, following the incident, massive rescue operation has been launched by the authorities including Police and civil administration.(KNS)
