Budgam, July 15(KNS): Authorities in Central kashmir's Budgam district thursday conducted a surprise visit of various brick kiln units and arrested five guilty person associated with various brick kilns, imposed penalty on spot against the violators and seized 3 vehicles. 

As per statement issued to Kashmir news service (KNS), reads that acting upon the instructions given by Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza, the Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam   today alongwith officials of Revenue, Municipality, police and Geology & mining conducted a surprise visit of various brick kiln units operating in district which were allegedly selling bricks at exorbitant rates.

It reads that pertinent to mention here that DC Budgam vide his office order No. DCB/Brick Kilns/2020/54, dated 21.08.2020 has fixed rate of bricks as 21000 per 3000 bricks including all taxes except transportation. 

The statement said that the ADC instructed to arrest 05 guilty person associated with various brick kilns, imposed penalty on spot against the violators, seized 3 vehicles and said that strict action as per law shall follow. 

"Meanwhile, DC Budgam has once again warned the erring brick kiln owners to refrain from overcharging and sale of sub standard material, " it reads. 

It futher said that the DC categorically said that no brick kiln owner shall be permitted to overcharging at exorbitant rates.

The statement also reads that the DC Budgam appealed general public to approach his office or office of ADC, SDM or Tehsildar concerned,  to register complaint if any, against those brick kiln owners who are violating government approved rates.(KNS).
