470 Kashmiri’s stranded in MP, on way to home

Srinagar, 10 May, (KNS): At least 470 Kashmiri’s who were stranded in parts of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday allowed to return to their homes in eighteen special busses.

Reports reached to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that all stranded passengers from Kashmir left in 18 buses on wee hours of Sunday after J&K government along with MP government facilitated their return amid nationwide lockdown.

It said prior to boarding, the authorities conducted screening of all students and provided them special passes for journey.

The buses will ferry the students till Lakhanpur on Punjab-J&K border in Kathua district from where J&K administration will arrange their further travel to their hometowns.

Pertinently thousands of Kashmiri’s got stuck outside UT soon after union government imposed countrywide lockdown restrictions to prevent spread of Covid-19. (KNS)
