Srinagar, Oct 22 (KNS): At least 40 youths were arrested in Taras village in frontier Kupwara district on Saturday.
According to Handwara KNS correspondent, forces launched a missive crackdown in the area.
“Around forty youth were arrested during the crackdown which lasted for three hours,” said locals.
They accused forces of berserk and alleged that inmates were also beaten.

They said that at least 600 apple boxes, worth lakhs of rupees, were destroyed by forces.
Shamsher Hussain, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara refuted the allegations made by locals.
He added that only eight youth were arrested during the process. (KNS)
