Budgam February 5 (KNS): The jammu Kashmir police on Monday arrested four drug peddlers along with contraband substance in Budgam
According to a statement issued here said that continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Budgam police arrested 04 drug peddlers and recovered contraband /Psychotropic substance from their possession.
During routine naka checking at Wata Magam, Police party of Police station Magam intercepted one suspicious vehicle bearing registration number JK04B-2152 with three persons on board.
During preliminary questioning they disclosed their identities as Abid Ahmad Bhat(Driver), S/0 Ab Majid Bha, Zeeshan Ahmad Dar, S/O Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Ahitsham Ashraf wani @Sahil , S/O Mohd Ashraf wani all residents of Hazarpora Aripanthan.
During search, Charas like substance in Powder form weighing about 315 grms was recovered in three polythene bags. They were arrested on spot and the vehicle used in Commission of Crime has also been seized.
Upon disclosure by the arrested individuals, one more suspect identified as Amir Ahmed Ganiee@Raja S/O Gh Ahmad Ganiee R/O Peth Kanihama was arrested and from his possession charas like substance in Powder form weighing about 360 grms was recovered.
Accordingly, a Case FIR No:13/2024 Under relevant sections of law registered at Police Station Magam and further investigation taken up.(KNS)
