Kishtwar, Aug 14 (KNS): Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, on Thursday night said that 38 bodies have been recovered and over 100 people injured in the recent tragedy in the district.
Speaking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Sharma said that while 38 bodies have been retrieved so far, 9 more remain at the site. “More than 100 injured have been treated, with some admitted to Kishtwar and others to GMC,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He added that rescue operations were halted due to the risk of another flash flood but will resume tomorrow morning. “We have received calls regarding 12 missing persons. All trapped passengers have been accommodated and will be returned once the bridge is launched,” he said.(KNS)
