3 years on, KU's Journalism student-Batch 2018 awaits completion of PG

Srinagar, Oct 01 (KNS): Despite elapsing three years, the Postgraduate (PG) students of Mass Communication and Journalism (Batch 2018) in Media Education Research Centre (MERC) at University of Kashmir (KU) are yet to get their final result.

The aggrieved students told KNS that since March, the varsity has failed to declared the final semester result of their batch officially.

One of the students wishing anonymity said that, "Our degree was supposed to be completed in 2020. However, due to COVID-19 and now delay in official result declaration, we are stuck in final semester and are not able to proceed for job or further studies."

The student further said that, "We all have been waiting for the completion of degree since March as our last semester examination was conducted in the same month but no step is being taken to redress our demands."

"One can easily login through the official website of KU and can check the marks of each and every subject, but officially we stand nowhere," the students rued.

They sought immediate intervention of the concerned officials into the matter, and demanded declaration of official result at the earliest. (KNS)
