Srinagar, Jan 07 (KNS): Three militants of JeM outfit were killed in an encounter that broke out in Chadoora locality of Budgam district late last night, police said here.

Kashmir zone police, while quoting IGP Kashmir on its official Twitter handle said that three militants of JeM have been killed in the encounter and 3 AK 56 rifles have also been recovered.

Earlier, encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Zolwa locality of Kralpora in Chadoora late last night.

Police said that in the ensuing encounter three militants were killed and their bodies were retrieved from the encounter site.

Meanwhile, IGP said that one of the slain militants has been identified as Waseem of Srinagar city.

He said that will the killing of Waseem now there is only one local militant left in the city. (KNS)
