Rahul Gandhi visit has infused new spirit to the party cadres to fight the communal and divisive forces in the state and to strengthen the secular, democratic and nationalist forces for the unity and integrity of the state and the nation, party Chief Spokesman Mr. Ravinder Sharma said here today.
His visit to the border belt in Balakote to meet the victims of Pak shelling has come as a great encouragement to these unarmed soliders of the country on the borders, who have been boldly facing the brunt of the hostility of Pakistan for a long time, which has increased in the recent past. Gandhi also interacted with the Panchayat Raj representatives who represent the basic institutions of democracy in the state and have been neglected by the present regime, ignoring their contribution and sacrifices in the hands of anti-democratic and anti-national forces. Mr. Gandhi expressed his solidarity with these grass root institutions, as he always stood for their empowerment leading to the incorporation of the 73rd Amendment in the State Panchayat Raj Laws.

He said that the grand success of Gandhi’s visit has come as a frustration to the rival opposition parties especially BJP who fail to set their own house in order and persue a divisive agenda in the state and elsewhere in country.
He said that several veteran leaders of BJP like Shri Lal Krishan Advani, Shri Murli Manohar Joshi, Shri Yashwant Sinha, Shri Arun Shouri and several others feel suffocation because of the Modi-Shah culture in the party controlled by RSS. The list of such leaders is increasing day by day, which reflects the working of the BJP.
He said that the U-turn of the Modi government on the Land Bill issue has vindicated the stand of the Congress party, that the proposed legislation was not acceptable to the farmers and poor in this country. After repeated ordinances on the matter, the Modi government had to withdraw the move in view of strong movement in the county launched by the Congress party especially the pro-active role of Shri Rahul Gandhi in the movement.
