Srinagar, Jan 01 (KNS): At least three civilians were killed while 7 others were injured in a suspected militant attack in the Dhangri area of the Rajouri district in Jammu region, officials said here on Sunday evening.
An official told the Kashmir News Service (KNS), that the firing incident suspected to be militant attack occurred in the Upper Dhangri area near a higher secondary school, in the Rajouri, in which three people lost their lives and over 7 people, including a woman and a child, were injured.
Two out of the three deceased have been identified as Satish and Deepak. The other injured people are undergoing treatment at Government Medical College (GMC), Rajouri.
Dr. Mehmood, MS GMC Rajouri also confirmed to KNS that ten injured were brought to the hospital among them 3 were declared brought dead.
He said that three more injured people are critical who being treated while the remaining injured are out of danger.
Meanwhile, the security forces have reached the spot and a search operation has been launched.(KNS)
