3 Al-Badr OGWs held in Handwara, arms & ammo recovered: Police

 
Srinagar, Jun 19 (KNS): Three Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Al-Badr militant outfit have been arrested along with arms and ammunition in Handwara area of Kupwara district, police said here on Sunday. 
 
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that a joint team of Police, Army’s 32 RR and CRPF 92 BN during a Naka arrested three militant associates of Al Badr outfit at Wangam crossing in Handwara. 
 
He said incriminating materials including 1 pistol, magazines, 8 rounds and two hand grenades were also recovered from their possession.
 
The arrested OGWs have been identified as Nazim Ahmed Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, Siraj u din Khan son of Bashir Ahmad Khan and Adil Gull son of Ghulam Mohidin—all residents of Khaipora area of Kralgund. 

The official said that a case FIR No. 40/2022 U/S 7/25 I A Act ,18, 38 ULAP Act has been registered at Police Station Kralgund in this regard.

He added that further investigation is going on. (KNS)
