2nd chapter of IRTIQA organised at SKUAST-K

Srinagar, Nov 09 (KNS): Students Welfare Office, SKUAST-Kashmir under the dynamic leadership of Prof. M.A.A.Sidiqui today organized the 2nd Chapter of IRTIQA in the University. The programme was inaugurated by Prof. J.P.Sharma Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-K and was attended by all the Officers, Deans, Directors, Heads of Divisions, Units, KVKs, SWOs and students of the University.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. J.P.Sharma appreciated the efforts of Dean Students Welfare for creating ambient atmosphere for students of the University due to which our students are representing the University at National and International level. He reiterated the importance of soft skills development of the students in order to make them job providers than job seekers.

He appreciated the efforts of career cancelling and placement centre of the Department of Students Welfare to prepare the students for competitive exams and congratulated them for their success in realizing an exponential increasein the number of students qualifying these exams. He advised the students to increase happiness quotient in order to realize their vision to optimal potential. Besides felicitation of cultural programs the Vice-Chancellor, launched ‘YAWUN’- the first multilingual students magazine published by the Department of Students Welfare.

Prof.M. A.A. Sidiqui, Dean Students welfare highlighted the role played by the Department of Students welfare in realizing the role of University to secure first position in zonal level elocution competition. A vibrant and colourful cultural programme was organized and students from different faculties of SKUAST-Kashmir performed in the event. About 321 students were felicitated across seven faculties of the University.
