Srinagar, Oct 21 (KNS): In connection with the 27th October, the Democratic Freedom Party chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah has appealed the Kashmiris living across the world to raise their voices against the oppression in Kashmir outside the Indian embassies on that day."I appeal the justice loving people of the world and those of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir to raise their voices against the forcible occupation of India on27 th October," Shah said in a statement to KNS.
He said the 27th October is a black day in the history of Jammu and Kashmir as on that day, India annexed the state through its military might.”India occupied a territory which never was its part and Kashmiris never acknowledged the former's rule and supremacy but sacrificed lakhs of lives while fighting the occupational rule, which continues with full force," he said. Shah while terming the Indian-sponsored elections in the state as deception and fraud and said every election since 1947 conducted in Jammu and Kashmir were sham. "Even Indian agencies and leaders acknowledged that the elections held under military might have no meaning at all."
The DFP chairman made it clear that there is no such thing as democracy prevailing in the state where jails are filled with those raising voice against the oppression and tyranny and where 7 lakh forces have made life of people hell. Shah reiterated his appeal to the world community to play role with regard to Kashmir as it did with East Timor and South Sudan.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"The international community must reply as to why Kashmiris are deprived of their right guaranteed to them by the UN Charter - the right of self-determination, when other nations were allowed to enjoy this right.”Terming the establishment of peace in the South West Asia as linked to Kashmir issue, Shah said. The forcible occupation of India on this oppressed territory, the unending Ricky between two nuclear neighboring nations can give rise to war anytime. He suggested Indian leadership to spend on eradicating the poverty from its country instead of investing in arms procurement. He said the world leadership must take notice of the challenge posed by India to world peace in the 21st century.
Shabir Ahmad Shah also appealed every Kashmiri living across the globe to participate in Million March to be organized in New York on October 25 "to make it successful."
Meanwhile, Shabir Ahmad Shah has severely condemned the murderous attack on JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and his associates by forces. He expressed strong resentment over the attack and said the Mufti Sayeed government brief broke all the records of tyranny by targeting the resistance leadership.
"This way, the intentions of Mufti Sayeed led government stand exposed," Shah said and earned the administration of strong public response if it didn't mend it ways. (KNS)
