26 ASSAM RIFLES opened Women, Youth Centre at Watlab

Bandipora 21 Sep, (KNS): In continuation of the efforts of Army to encourage the women and Youths of Kashmir to realise their full potential and strive towards their goals, 26 ASSAM RIFLES opened a Youth Centre at Watlab.
 
The Centre had been closed due to Covid Pandemic since April 21. The Centre was part of the activities of Army to reach the Awaam and to honed their skill for personal development and financial independence in their lives ahead. 
 
 The Youth Centre has the facilities for Sewing & Tailoring,  English Speaking and Computer Classes. Apart from this a well equipped gym and library are also provided for the Youths in the centre. A total of four teachers including a female are employed to teach the women and youths at the centre. 
 
At present 60 students including females for Sewing & Tailoring are enrolled in the Centre for six months course. A committee under an OiC has been nominated to monitor, supervise and run the Centre in the best possible way.(KNS)
