Jammu, Jan 20 (KNS): The government today said that 22 Panchayat Ghars were damaged or destroyed during the summer uprising in 2016 and their restoration is in process.
According to KNS correspondent covering the assembly proceedings, while replying to the written question of PDP MLA from Wachi, Aijaz Ahmad Mir, minister of rural development department said that 22 panchayat ghars were either damaged or destroyed during the 2016 unrest.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The Minster said that 8 panchayat ghars were damaged in Anantnag district, 5 each in Pulwama and Kulgam, one in Gandrbal, three in Shopian district.
The minister said that the district officers have been directed to assess the damage to these panayat ghars for their restoration. (KNS)
