Srinagar, Jan 29 (KNS): The residents of Muqami Shahwali in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday complained that the transformers sanctioned to the area two years ago is yet to be installed.
The transformer was sanctioned to the villages under MLA fund and but the concern department has not installed the transformer.
However, when contacted Executive Engineer PDD Kupwara Shamim Ahmad, he said, “111 transformers were issued to these villages and they have not received the funds of the transformers yet. We didn’t issue these transformers to the villages. MLAs, MLCs directly gave them to respective villages. Department will lift back all the transformers (KNS).
