Pattan, Sep 01 (KNS): Army here on Thursday claimed to have arrested two militants along with arms and ammunition in a joint operation conducted by Army and Police in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramullah District.
Army in a statement issued to KNS said “Based on a specific information about the movement of suspected militants near Wusunkhui, Pattan, a joint team of Army and Police launched the operation in which two militants were intercepted early in the morning today”.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelArmy, according to the statement said “militants arrested have been identified as Shaukat Ahmed Ganai, 26 yrs and Parvez Ah Mir 34 yrs, both from Andargam. Two AK- 47 rifles, two grenade launchers and other war like stores have been recovered from these militants besides Army and police uniforms”. (KNS)
