Bandipora, May 07 (KNS): Two hybrid terrorists of HM outfit were arrested in Bandipora district along with arms and ammunition on Saturday, police said here.
According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), based on a specific input regarding movement of Hybrid terrorists from Bandipora to Srinagar, a joint naka was established near Wular Vantage Aragam by Bandipora police,13 RR Army & 3rd BN CRPF.
The statement added that while conducting search of pedestrians & vehicles, two individuals were observed moving suspiciously in an Alto Car bearing Reg. No. JK13-G 6139, who tried to conceal their identity on seeing the Naka party.
“On being challenged, the suspicious persons tried to break the checkpoint and were tactfully apprehended They have been identified as Abid Ali (27) son of Ali Mohd Parray and Faisal Hassan Parray (21) S/o Gh Hassan Parray—both reads of Herpora Achan Pulwama.”
It added that during search of the said individuals and vehicle, 01 AK-47 rifle, 02 Magazines with 30 live Rounds, 01 Pistol, 01 Magzine with 04 live Rounds and 04 Pistol fired cases were recovered.
It said that a Case FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered, while further investigation has been taken up and further arrests are expected. (KNS)
