2 drug peddlers arrested, 652 grams of Heroin recovered in Uri

 
                                                                    
Srinagar, August 25 (KNS): Army and Police in a joint operation arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 652 grams of Heroin in Uri

A statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS) reads that during naka checking at Sultan Daki Uri, Police under the supervision of  Junaid Wali SDPO Uri assisted by Inspr. Imtiyaz Ahmad, SHO Police station Uri and IC PP Kamalkote arrested 2 drug peddlers.

They were identified as Mohd Safeer and  Mohd Saleem Sons of  Feroz Ali Khokhar residents of Madiyan Kamalkote Uri, District Baramulla and recovered 652 grams of Herion like substance from their possession.

Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Uri and investigation set in motion, it added..

General People of Kamalkote & its surrounding areas hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of Drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship, it added.

People are requested to come forward with information regarding Drug Peddlers of their areas so that drug menace can be eradicated from the society ,it also said. (KNS)
