Srinagar, October 03 (KNS): Two persons died while eight others were injured in different road accidents across the valley.
In a statement issued to KNS, police spokesman said that in Ganderbal, a Tavera Vehicle bearing registration number JK01W-5251 and Scooty bearing engine number E3N6E0053382 collided at Rayil Gund, resulting in injuries to Scooty rider. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Ganderbal police registered a case in this regard.
In Srinagar, a Tri-Cycle met with an accident near Lasjan, Nowgam, resulting in death of cyclist Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh son of Rahim Ali Sheikh resident of Kopali Pora District Naida West Bengal. The body of deceased has been taken into custody for medico-legal formalities.
In another accident, Muzaffar Ahmad Malik son of Mohammad Yousuf resident of Baghat-e-Kanipora who was injured in a road accident on 01-10-2015 at MA road in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kothibagh succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura Srinagar. In Shopian, a Bus bearing registration number JK01Y-0546 and Alto K10 Car met with an accident at Dongimarg Mughal Road, Herpora, resulting in injuries to four persons identified as Mohammad Yaqoob Awan, Mohammad Shafi Bajad, Miss Zahida and Miss Nusrat all residents of Galander. All the injured have been shifted to the hospital for treatment. Shopian police has registered a case in this regard.
In Kulgam, a Motorcycle on way from Bonigam to Chowgam Skidded off the road at Nawa Link Road, Qazigund, resulting in injuries to two persons identified as Mohammad Jabbar and Tawqeer Ahmad both resident of Sampole Bihar. Both the injured have been shifted to the hospital for treatment. Kulgam police has registered a case in this regard. In Handwara, an unknown Motorcyclist on way from Sagipora to Pohrupath hit and injured a pedestrian Javed Ahmad Sheikh resident of Pohrupath.
