2 accused who escaped from Baramulla police station arrested: Police

Srinagar, April 05 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday said that it has apprehended the two accused who escaped from custody earlier today in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.


An official said that after an intensive investigation and utilizing technical and human intelligence, Baramulla police have apprehended the two accused who escaped from custody earlier today while the  investigation into the case is going on.

He said that the accused were captured in the old town area of Baramulla and are currently under police custody. "In continuation to an earlier message with regard to the escape of two accused who were under custody at PS Baramulla escaped this morning  and case FIR under relevant sections of law was registered," the police said.

"During the course of the investigation, Baramulla Police collected the CCTV footage of the incident," the police said, adding that it after utilising  technical & human intelligence and after hectic efforts both the accuseds have been arrested  this evening from old town Baramulla and are presently under  custody at Police Station Baramulla.(KNS)
