Srinagar, Dec 31 (KNS): The militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen said that during the year 2016, 160 militants lost their lives in the Kashmir struggle while 181 security forces men were killed, 220 injured in different attacks by the militants.
In an emailed statement to KNS, the Hizb while giving details said that out of the 181 security forces men killed, included one army Colonel, two Majors, three Captains and five officers of special operations forces. Incharge Hizb Media Center Saleem Hashmi said the Media center released the annual report of 2016 according to which 160 militants got killed in different encounter across the state. “Burhan Muzzaffar Wani, a young commander is one among the 160 militant martyrs.”
According to Hizb 29 armed forces men committed suicide in the year 2016.
Hizb added that throughout the year 2016, 35 AK-47 Rifles were snatched as booty (mal-e-ganimat). (KNS)
