12-year-old Srinagar girl publishes her 1st book ‘Kashmir Heritage’

Srinagar, Sept 09 (KNS): At the age where a child hardly knows the areas and thing's around them, Srinagar's 12-year-old girl comes with a book on Kashmir Heritage.

Talking to media persons, Jannat Zahoor Bhat, hailing from Parimpora area of Srinagar said that she was interested in writing when she was 9 years of age.

Jannat launched her 1st book recently at Tahira Khanams College Lawaypora Srinagar.

"I started sending my paintings to a newspaper's kids page which only publishes on Mondays. Then, last year in the month of November, my essay named ‘MY PARENTS, MY LIFE’ was published, so I continued sending I had no intensions to write a book,” she said.

Jannat said that she had a great information of Kashmir, so she started working on that and she stored that information on her laptop. “I had no intension to publish it so I only printed those documents out.” 

"When schools were closed again after March, I was encouraged to add more information into it and publish it." 

She said that a poetess helped her in publishing. “I started writing quotes, poem and poetry from June this year and my parents, encouraged me the most in the family.” 

She said that she will show everyone in the world that she can surpass anyone in the world. (KNS)
