Kunzer, May 8 (KNS): Geology and Mining Department along with Kunzer police today in its drive against illegal mineral extraction, transportation seized 11 tippers and 3 tractors.

According to reports, raids were conducted on Stone crushers and streams to check illegal stone, sand /boulders extraction and transportation.

The police team was led by SHO Kunzar along with teams of the Mining and Geology Department in which 11 Tippers and 3 tractors were seized from Kunzar area. 

"These vehicles were being used in the transportation of minerals illegally extracted sand, stone. The drivers managed to flee from the spot and efforts are on to nab them," officials said.
police has initiated legal proceedings against the violators and started further investigation.
The special drive will continuously be carried out by the police throughout the subdivision Gulmarg in the coming days too, an official told KNS.

Meanwhile, Kunzar police appeal to the public not to indulge in illegal extraction of sand and other minerals from any Nalla/stream, violators will be dealt with strictly under law.(KNS)
