Srinagar, June 03, (KNS): People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader Er Nazir Ahmad Yatoo on Wednesday urged all political heads of Jammu and Kashmir to convene an all party meet.
According to statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Yatoo said that, post Article-370 abrogation, people in Jammu and Kashmir are in panic and that the need of the hour is to come together and forge a united response and stand.
He said the people of Jammu and Kashmir need to stand up as one. Adding that political observers interpret our silence in the Valley as their readiness to recalibrate their politics.
“People can't trust us anymore, anger is visible among the public against political parties. It's time to build up their trust”, he said.
PDP leader said that Article 370 should not have been removed. It forms our foundation. There was no need to remove it. We are proud Indians but this (Article 370) is important for us.”
Political activity has been suspended in Jammu and Kashmir, but talking has not been suspended. It's time for all of us to take a clear stand.
“The centre is saying one thing and doing another. We should deliberate upon it, there is no justification for continuing harsh restrictions on communication like high speed internet. The step should have to genuinely reach out to Kashmiris and win over their hearts and minds. Restrictions have gone on for too long, and Kashmir now needs a healing touch”, he said. (KNS)
