Srinagar, Feb 01 (KNS): The BJP on Monday clarified that there is no demand of the rotational chief minister by the party and that it would strive for the implementation of the Common Minimum Program (CMP) which both the parties had signed ahead of entering into coalition in March last year.
Talking to KNS, vice president of state BJP, Ramesh Aroora said that there has been no such demand put forth by the BJP about the rotational chief minister in Jammu and Kashmir and that the party would prioritize to uphold agenda of alliance.
Commenting over the present stalemate in the state which started after the demise of the chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on January 7, Aroora said that the party wants that he people of the state should witness the government elected by them during the 2014 polls.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe maintained that three of the BJP senior leaders have left for Delhi to discuss the present situation with the senior leadership and accordingly take final call over the deadlock.
When asked whether the PDP has laid down any new conditions for continuing the coalition with the BJP, Aroora claimed that there were some reservations which the party has expressed over the government function but formally, there were no conditions set by the PDP in the recent past. (KNS)
