Budgam, Aug 12 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir assembly speaker Abdul Rahim Rather on Tuesday said that the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood remains a common goal for all political parties across the region.
Speaking to reporters on the inaugurating macadamization work at Krehmshore in the Khansahib area of Budgam district, Rather said, “All political parties are working for statehood in their own way. We are in touch with everyone, and even in Parliament, opposition parties are pushing for its restoration.”

He said that not only the congress but all the political parties are working for statehood and we are indebted to all parties for backing our demand.
The speaker also used the occasion to highlight the importance of developmental works in rural areas. Referring to the macadamization project in Krehmshore, Rather said such initiatives would improve road connectivity, boost local trade, and ease daily commutes for residents.(KNS)
