‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is on voluntary basis, no kind of compulsion in it: Div Com Kashmir

 
Srinagar, July 23 (KNS): Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, P K Pole Saturday said that hoisting or displaying the national flag at homes and shops between August 13 and 15 under “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign is a voluntary movement and there is no insistence in it. 

Talking to reporters, Pole said that they welcome those citizens who want to hoist the Tricolour on their houses or shops between 13th and 15th August and the movement is on voluntary basis. 

He said that “Har Ghar Tiranga” initiative is on appeal, voluntary and awareness basis and there will be no compulsions in it. 

Notably, ahead of the 75th Independence day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the people to strengthen the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ movement by hoisting or displaying the national flag in their homes between August 13 and 15. 

The ‘Tiranga campaign’ aims at hoisting national flag in about 20 crore homes across the country. (KNS)
