Srinagar, Jun 13 (KNS): The governor administration is soon launching "Back to village" program for its larger outreach to all the villages across the state and rigorous exercise is ongoing in the Civil Secretariat here to make the program successful.

The Government will depute all the gazetted officers of the Secretariat, ranging from Under Secretary level to Administrative Secretaries, to the villages of the state where they will stay overnight and listen to the grievances of the people.

Official sources told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that rigorous exercise is going on in the Secretariat where all the top officials are preparing for the massive outreach program.

Sources said that the program will be launched within a week as the Governor administration is very keen to make the outreach program fruitful and give feeling of good governance outreach to the people.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

It is to mention here that the Chief Secretary of the state B V R Subramanium had said in the press conference on Wednesday in presence of the governor Satya Pal Malik.

The chief secretary had said that entire administration will be involved for the "Back to village" program to make the grassroots level governance functional.

The outreach program will be involving Panchayati system into it under the directions of the gazetted officials of the Secretariat.
Sources said that Panches, Sarpanches will be involved in the exercise to give the Panchayat level system credibility among the people. (KNS)
