Anantnag, Oct 26 (KNS): The students on Wednesday once again took to streets against the government decision of holding examination of class 10 and 12 from mid-November.
Students including boys and girls were holding placards, displaying ‘We want Justice’, ‘Exam Boycott’ and others. They were also chanting slogans against the government.
The protesting students who assembled at Lal Chowk area of Anantnag said that “The government should defer the exams till the normalcy returns to Valley. Our future is uncertain and everyone today in Kashmir especially students are surrounded by fear on all directions.”
The students said that how is possible for them to appear in exams at a time when the students are being killed, injured, arrested and assaulted.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
They said that the students are being tortured both mentally and physically and at the same time asking them to appear in the exams is ‘anti-students’ decision.
“It seems that the government is using students as tools to give the sense of normalcy in Kashmir by conducting exams during the current situation in Kashmir,” protesting students said.
The students also expressed solidarity with the people who were either killed or maimed during the current uprising in the Valley. (KNS)
