People from Different Walks of Life Remember Shujaat Bukhari on His 7th Anniversary

 Kreeri, June 14 (KNS): People from various walks of life gathered today to remember senior journalist and founding editor of Rising Kashmir, Syed Shujaat Bukhari, on his 7th death anniversary.

A senior journalist said Bukhari's relentless pursuit of truth and unwavering commitment to peace continue to inspire journalists and justice advocates across the region.

Former Law Minister and his brother, Syed Basharat Bukhari, visited his grave at Muradabad Kreeri, where locals, friends, relatives, and journalists joined in offering special prayers for the departed soul.

Shujaat Bukhari’s friend, Mushtaq Sopori, told the KNS correspondent that he was a towering personality who always worked for peace and prosperity in the valley.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
"Even after seven years, it feels as though he left us only recently. We will continue to work for his vision until our last breath," he said.

Editor-in-Chief of Kashmir News Service (KNS), Mohd Aslam Bhat also prayed for the eternal peace of Shujaat Bukhari's soul. He said Bukhari's legacy of fearless journalism and harmony will always be remembered and upheld.

Shujaat Bukhari was shot dead outside his office in Srinagar on June 14, 2018. Two of his personal security officers were also killed in the attack. (KNS)
