Srinagar, June 27 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday interacted with National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets during the Special National Integration Camp held at Chinar Auditorium, Badami Bagh Cantonment in Srinagar.
Addressing the cadets, LG Sinha praised the NCC Directorate of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, along with Headquarters 15 Corps and 31 Sub Area, for organizing the camp which brings together youth from across India to experience the rich culture and traditions of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said the camp represents a shining example of unity in diversity and strengthens the spirit of national integration.
“Youth are our hope for a brighter future. They are the most valuable assets for any society and true catalysts of change. The values of discipline, unity, leadership, and selfless service imbibed by NCC cadets are shaping a better tomorrow,” said LG Sinha.
He lauded the courage and determination shown by cadets in addressing societal challenges and contributing to nation-building. “NCC cadets have shown a novel approach to problems and their commitment to social causes is commendable,” he added.

Highlighting the importance of youth participation in development, he said, “The youth must be actively involved in the planning and development process at the grassroots level. NCC serves as a bridge between administration and youth aspirations.”
The LG also applauded the outstanding role of NCC cadets during Operation Sindoor. “During tough times, our cadets served selflessly in relief camps and organized blood donation drives. Their efforts have added great value to the image of the NCC,” he noted.
The event also featured vibrant cultural performances by the cadets, celebrating India’s unity through its diversity. Around 340 cadets and officers from across the country are attending the camp.
Senior officials including GOC 15 Corps Lt Gen Prashant Srivastava, Additional Chief Secretary Higher Education Shantmanu, ADG NCC Maj Gen Anupinder Bevli, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Bidhuri, Commissioner Secretary Sports Sarmad Hafeez, and Padma Shri Farooq Ahmed Mir were present at the event along with other dignitaries from civil and military administration.(KNS)
