Srinagar June 5 (KNS): People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed deep grief and outrage over the mysterious death of 30-year-old Zubair Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Sehyar Ali Kadal, Srinagar, who was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Delhi. Zubair, reportedly in good health, was the sole breadwinner for three families and frequently traveled to Delhi for work.

In a statementissued to KNS, PDP leader Iltija Mufti, accompanied by CI Arif Laigroo and District President Ab Qayoom Bhat, visited Zubair’s family at Aali Kadal today to offer condolences and express solidarity. She assured the grieving family that the PDP will push for a fair and transparent investigation into the incident.

The family alleges foul play, citing digital evidence such as message screenshots that suggest Zubair may have been attacked in the area where he was staying.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThey also claim that the Delhi Police have not provided clear answers and are evading questions, adding to their suspicion and distress.

In addition, the family has accused hospital authorities of negligence and discriminatory treatment. They allege that once the hospital staff learned Zubair was Kashmiri, he was denied timely medical care, which may have worsened the situation.

The PDP condemned all forms of negligence, misconduct, or bias and demanded an immediate, impartial investigation. The party also urged the government to provide relief by offering a job to one of Zubair’s family members, to help sustain the three dependent families.

“We will not rest until accountability is ensured,” Iltija Mufti said. “Zubair’s family deserves both justice and a secure future.”(KNS)
