“PDP’s Fight Is for J&K’s Special Status, Not Just Statehood”: Iltija Mufti on Party’s 26th Foundation Day

Srinagar, July 28 (KNS) : On the 26th Foundation Day of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iltija Mufti on Monday addressed a large gathering of party workers and supporters, reflecting on the party's legacy and vision.

Speaking to reporters on the 26th Foundation Day of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iltija Mufti strongly reaffirmed the party’s core stand on Jammu and Kashmir’s political future.

"Our fight is not for statehood alone it’s for the special status, the constitution, and the flag of Jammu & Kashmir,"
Iltija said, asserting that PDP has maintained this position since the events of August 5, 2019.

Iltija expressed gratitude to party workers, particularly those from South and North Kashmir who turned out in large numbers to show their support.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelShe emphasized that PDP was born during one of the most difficult phases in J&K's history and continues to be relevant in today’s challenging times.

"This day reminds us of the vision Mufti Sahab and Mehbooba Ji had of peace with dignity and a healing touch for our people. That vision is more important now than ever," she added.

In a subtle message to other political parties, she said,"When you talk only about statehood, you dilute the real issue. I appeal to all parties, including Congress and NC, to stand together for the restoration of J&K’s special status."

The Foundation Day event drew thousands of PDP supporters, reflecting the party's continued grassroots presence across the region.(KNS)
