District officer Kupwara says will look into allegations made by players

Handwara, Dec 25 (KNS): A group of cricketers from Mawer area of Handwara on Saturday alleged that the they were being provided rat-bitten bananas as refreshment by the youth services and sports department Kupwara. 

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), they alleged that the department is claiming of providing Rs 25 as refreshment to every player, but the truth is that they being provided rat-bitten bananas as refreshment. 

They said the aim of organizing these events was to promote local talent, however, the department instead of promoting local talent is insulting the youth. 

The players sought action against the officials of the department for failing to keep a check on these things.  

When contacted, district youth services and sports officer Kupwara, Jatinder Singh said they are paying Rs 25 as refreshment to each player, however, they will look into the allegations made by players. (KNS)
