Kupwara, Nov 06 (KNS): Body of a 21 years old youth was found under mysterious circumstances in Hijitra village of Karnah in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday late evening.

A police official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that intimation by locals about spotting of a body in the Hijtra area a team visited the spot and recovered the body under mysterious condition.

The deceased was identified as Sharafat Nabi Mir (21) son of Ghulam Nabi Mir resident of Bandariyain Hajitra village of Karnah.

“After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites,” the police official said.

“A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation initiated in this regard,” the official added. (KNS)
