Pattan January 11 (KNS) : A well known socio-political activist Hamid Rather will field educated and upright people in all wards in Pattan Municipal Committee elections which are likely to be held in April 2023.
According to sources, Hamid Rather has the support of big political parties and will back and campaign for the upright and incorruptible people in MC elections in Pattan.
Hamid said, "People of Pattan reached me and insisted me that I should play a key role in Pttan Municipal elections. I told them I can only come for educated, upright and incorruptible people that have the passion to make the historical town great again"
Hamid said that his vision is to see Pattan as the future capital of Jammu and Kashmir Kashmir including Pakistan occupied Kashmir. The vision has the bottom leg of better local governance through municipality and panchayats.
Umer Bhat, a youth from Pattan said, "We want Hamid sahab to come and play a role in Municipal elections in Pattan. We believe in him and his leadership. We are sure if he campaigns for us we will definitely win".(KNS)
