Srinagar, Jan 09(KNS): Dr Owais Ahmed, an IAS officer from the 2014 batch, after assuming the role of Commissioner at the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Tuesday expressed his commitment to enhancing the public deliverance system for improved effectiveness.
Having observed the dedicated efforts of SMC personnel in various departments, including sanitation and enforcement, Owais Ahmed emphasized his goal to bring about positive changes. His appointment is seen as a significant step towards bolstering civic infrastructure and services in Srinagar. He aims to collaborate closely with officials and residents to actively contribute to the city's development and maintenance.
"I have taken charge as Commissioner of SMC just a day ago, and my foremost commitment is to enhance the public deliverance system, making it more efficient and effective. I have observed our personnel, whether in sanitation, enforcement, or other departments, working tirelessly and with dedication," stated Owais.(KNS)
