VLW arrested with drugs worth crores in Uri

Baramulla May, 20 (KNS): A village level worker of Rural Development Department was arrested with drugs worth crores in Uri area of North Kashmir's Baramulla District.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that during routine checking security forces during frisking point on Srinagar-Muzaffarabad national highway recovered large quantity of illegal drugs from the vehicle of one individual who is VLW in RDD and is posted at BDO office Paranpeelan.

He said that norcotics Weighing 10.4 kilograms were recovered from his possession which upon preliminary investigation suggested that recovered substance is herion and it is worth is crores of rupees.

The arrested VLW was identified as Mohammad Zahid Geelani son of Peer Hassan Din Geelani of Basgran Uri, official said adding that case has been registered and investigation is underway.(KNS)
