The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, DGP Nalin Prabhat, Special DG Coordination S.J.M. Gillani, Principal Secretary Home Chandraker Bharti, Joint Director IB Pankaj Thakur, and CEO of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, Dr. Mandeep K Bhandari, besides senior civil, police, and security forces officials .

 

During the review, it was observed that a large number of pilgrims are arriving without valid registration, leading to extended waiting periods on the tracks. The Lieutenant Governor reiterated that the yatra is being conducted strictly within the prescribed ceiling on pilgrim movement as per the Supreme Court’s orders, making adherence to the registration schedule non-negotiable for ensuring safety and convenience .Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

 

Only pilgrims possessing valid registration for the designated date shall be permitted to proceed on the tracks leading to the Holy Cave Shrine. The administration has urged all intending pilgrims to complete the mandatory registration process and obtain a valid Yatra Registration Permit before commencing their journey. The Lieutenant Governor appealed to unregistered pilgrims to defer their travel for the next few days to avoid inconvenience upon reaching Jammu and Kashmir .

 

The Lieutenant Governor also reviewed security and logistic arrangements, directing all departments and agencies to maintain close coordination with langar organizations, service providers, and NGOs to ensure a safe, seamless, and spiritually enriching yatra .(KNS)
