Srinagar, Aug 02 (KNS): Unknown gunmen on late Sunday night fired at the main gate of Jammu and Kashmir People's Movement leader residence in Padshahi Bagh locality of Srinagar, sources said here. 

Sources told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the unknown gunmen fired at main gate of the residence of Umer Shafi Rather son of Mohammad Shafi Rather of Padshahi Bagh late last night when he was present at his home. 

They said that Umer informed the concerned police station and a team of police immediately arrived at his residence. "Further investigation into the matter is going on." 

Notably, Umer is affiliated with Jammu and Kashmir People's Movement. (KNS)
