Two Youth killed in Bijbhera Militant attack: Police

Srinagar, May 29 (KNS): Two youth were killed when unknown gunmen fired upon them in Jablipura area of Bijbhera in South Kashmir's Anantnag district on Saturday evening, official said.

 

 A senior police officer said that unknown gunmen fired upon the duo, leaving them injured. 

 

They were shifted to nearby hospital where one of them Sanjeed Ahmad Parrey (19) son of Abdul Azeem Parrey was declared dead while Shaan Bhat son of Ghulam Qadir Bhat later succumbed to the injuries.

 

 IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar confirmed to KNS the death of both civilians.

Medical superintendent ,SDH Biijebera Dr. Abdul Gani confirmed to KNS that both were having left arm injuries ,one was brought dead other one too succumbed to injuries later on.

Meanwhile police statement said that today millitants fired upon two persons in Parray Jablipora,Bijbehara,Anantnag. 

 

One of them was identified as Shahnawaz Ahmad Bhat S/O Ghulam Qadir Bhat aged 35 years,dental technician by profession and Sanjeed Ahmad Parray son of Abdul Azeem Parray,aged 20 years, (student ). 

 

*Both were rushed to hospital where doctors declared Sanjeed Ahmad as brought dead. The other injured has been referred to SKIMS Srinagar. 

 

SSP Anantnag Imtiyaz Hussain said that area has been cordoned & operation launched to nab the culprits.(KNS)
