Bandipora, July 22 (KNS) : A 14-year-old boy was found dead after his body was recovered from a nallah in the Guzarbal area of Bandipora district on Wednesday, officials said.

 

The deceased has been identified as Amir Khatana (14), son of late Mehboob Khatana, a resident of Bonibal Tangath.

 

Officials said the body was recovered from the nallah and shifted to the District Hospital, Bandipora, for medico-legal formalities. Meanwhile, the district administration has urged residents, particularly those living near rivers and nallahs, to stay away from water bodies amid the prevailing inclement weather.

 

According to officials, the water level in the Arin and Madhumati nallahs has risen considerably due to continuous rainfall over the past several days, prompting authorities to issue a public advisory to exercise extreme caution.
