Srinagar, Apr 03 (KNS): Reiterating the party’s commitment for overall development and economic growth of the state, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) General Secretary, Nizamudin Bhat Monday said the government has laid a comprehensive roadmap to address every issue facing Jammu and Kashmir.
“Jammu and Kashmir is facing peculiar problems. We have to remain resolute in our pledge to see peace on ground and allow the institutions to run smoothly and efficiently,” he said while addressing a poll campaign meeting at Khrew in Pampore assembly segment.
Urging people, particularly the youth, to support the party in the forthcoming by-polls, Bhat said: “Tassaduq Hussain Mufti is an honest young man with a simple agenda for addressing our socio-political and economic issues. He has the calibre and the potential to lead the society towards progress through his imaginative and constructive ideas. His unconventional approach will set a new benchmark in politics.”
He said despite facing manifold challenges, the government headed by Mehbooba Mufti is working on a progressive and revolutionary agenda to take the state forward. “It is a difficult job but we are using every difficulty as an opportunity to work for the betterment of our people.”
Speaking on the occasion, senior party leader and MoS Forests, Zahoor Ahmad Mir said the government is aware of the issue of pollution in Khrew and its adjoining areas and has already taken a slew of measures to tackle the problem.
He said the government will resolve the issues of saffron growers and it has taken many steps to increase the saffron production in the area. Mir said Pampore has witnessed a significant development over the last two years under the PDP-led government and he will continue working selflessly for the people of his constituency.
