Pulwama Jan 11 (KNS): Senior Congress Leader Surinder Singh Channi on Wednesday held a series of Bharat Jodo Yatra awareness and mobilization programmes in the Tral area of District Pulwama.
Channi also briefed people about the significance of the upcoming Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi and appealed to them to ensure their overwhelming participation in the Yatra.
Surinder Singh who was on a day long tour of Tral Segment of Pulwama district interacted with people, besides holding Bharat Jodo Yatra awareness and mobilization programmes at Narastan, Bengadar, Gatroo & Monghama and its adjacent areas. He appealed to people to join the Yatra in large numbers, as it (BJY) is for the betterment and change in the country.
Channi said the Yatra has a great significance given the current situation in the country, which is unfavorable to every section of people due to wrong policies adopted by the BJP Govt has failed to provide employment to educated youth, those already employed in different business enterprises have been left jobless due to economic losses.

BJP government is directionless and has only given rise to a situation of uncertainty, chaos and confusion. He said J&K is passing through the "worst ever misrule".
There is total policy paralysis as the government has failed to live up to the expectations of the people and address the problems of farmers, youths, employees, casual labourers and traders, he added."Every section of the society is suffering as their grievances are not addressed.
Speaking on the occasion, IYC Joint Secretary Manpreet Singh Mani said that the Bharat Jodo Yatra has been doing wonders across the nation and will equally be successful in Jammu & Kashmir . He stated that people are joining the yatra at various locations throughout the course of the yatra and necessary arrangements are being made for that. The yatra is a symbolic a fight against the BJPs mis governance and hate politics, which is also prevalent in J&K, so it will play a very important role in countering that narrative, he further said.
Mani also appealed to people present in the meetings to make the yatra a grand success in J&K. He also welcomed the suggestions of his fellow members regarding the yatra and discussed the ongoing preparations.
