New Delhi, October 5 (KNS): Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar, Rakesh Balwal, was lauded for his exceptional investigative skills as he received the esteemed 'Excellence in Investigation' award from Home Minister Amit Shah. The prestigious accolade was conferred upon him during the Anti-terrorism Conference held at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in New Delhi.
Rakesh Balwal, an accomplished IPS officer from the 2012 batch, originally hailing from the Manipur cadre, has held various significant roles throughout his career. Notably, his contributions have played a pivotal role in solving numerous high-profile cases, including the Pulwama militant attack, which tragically claimed the lives of more than 40 CRPF personnel.
It's worth mentioning that in light of the ongoing circumstances in the state, Officer Balwal was recently repatriated to his home cadre of Manipur. This recognition of his investigative prowess serves as a testament to his dedication and exceptional contributions to law enforcement.(KNS)
