Budgam: 13th May (KNS): SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem-JKPS today held a Darbar with jawans of District Police Budgam at District Police Lines, Budgam. The aim of the Darbar was to prepare jawans and Officers physically & mentally in wake of the spreading Covid-19 pandemic. He also reviewed security/lockdown arrangements put in place in the district.

Addressing the Darbar, SSP Budgam appreciated the role of Budgam Police in tackling the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic. He stressed upon them to follow COVID-19 SOPs issued by the Government and asked them to be both physically and mentally prepared in view of the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, besides countering any challenge and deal with any type of eventuality professionally.

SSP Budgam also advised the jawans and officers to focus on their duties, so that the nefarious designs of anti-social elements could be checked well before time. He stressed upon them to gain public confidence, goodwill and always be compassionate and helpful to the needy people. 

Later, SSP Budgam also visited various places of District Budgam and reviewed security & lockdown arrangements. He interacted with the Police personnel deployed on the ground and appreciated them for showing a high sense of responsibility and professionalism in dealing with the situation.

During the visit, SSP Budgam directed the deployed personnel for the implementation of Covid-19 guidelines & SOPs strictly. Moreover, he also directed them to act strictly against those found violating Covid guidelines & SOPs.The deployments were sensitized to be empathetic towards the people at the Nakas as directed by IG, Kashmir Vijay Kumar-IPS.(KNS)
