Srinagar, July 25 (KNS): Srinagar Police has attached two immovable properties worth around ?1.35 crore belonging to alleged drug peddlers under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, officials said on Saturday.
The attached properties include a double-storeyed residential house worth approximately ?70 lakh at Nadir Gund in Hyderpora and a single-storeyed residential house built on five marlas of land worth around ?65 lakh at Inderhama Gassu in Hazratbal, they said.
The Hyderpora property belongs to Aqib Farooq and has been attached in connection with FIR No. 16/2025 registered under Section 8/21 of the NDPS Act, officials said.
The Hazratbal property belongs to Azan Parvaiz Giltsaaz and has been attached in connection with FIR No. 09/2023 registered under Sections 8/21/29 of the NDPS Act, they added.

According to police, investigations revealed that both properties had been acquired through proceeds generated from narcotics trafficking and drug peddling. The assets have been attached under the relevant provisions of the NDPS Act, including Section 68F, subject to confirmation by the competent authority.
Police said the action is part of its sustained campaign to dismantle the financial networks of drug traffickers by identifying and confiscating assets allegedly acquired through the proceeds of crime.
The Srinagar Police reiterated its commitment to the anti-drug campaign and appealed to the public to share credible information related to drug trafficking, assuring that the identity of informants would be kept confidential.(KNS).
